PARLEE NOONAN | ARTIST

Parlee Noonan was born and raised in Southern California, but spent 40 years of professional life in Atlanta. There she worked as a photo stylist, set designer, studio manager, and finally serving national and regional clients as head of her own food photography studio. She also taught photography for ten years in Portfolio Center’s post-grad program. Now that she has settled in Greensboro, North Carolina, Parlee's artistic work has expanded well beyond her "Good Dog. Fine Art." portrait line (for which she has painted over 350 commissions since its beginning in 2008).  Parlee's new explorations - using acrylic, pencil and inks - include botanicals on paper (inspired by foraging for mushrooms during the pandemic), a variety of calligraphy-centered projects, still life, and creating nestled treetop worlds, color-washed onto absorbent plaster-like grounds.
